Hey there! This is the exact checklist I myself go through every single time I ship a new project.

If you need a bit of context, I recommend you read why I made RailsFast in the first place. This is much more than just a template and I can't wait for you to find out. But without further ado, here's the checklist:

Pre-launch

• Brand & identity
  • Name
  • Domain
  • Logo
  • Favicon
  • OG image
  • Create social accounts (X, IG, GH, etc.)
• Infra
  • CloudFlare
    • Turnstile account
    • R2 bucket
  • AWS
    • IAM: New user (with SES sending policy) + API keys
    • SES: Add & configure domain (guide)
    • ECR: Add registry + set up lifecycle policy (guide)
• Stripe
  • Create new Stripe account
  • API keys
  • Configure webhook
• Credentials for backups

Launch checklist

• CloudFlare
  • Domain > Rules > Settings > TURN ON "Add visitor location headers" under HTTP request headers
  • SSL/TLS > Edge Certificates > Always Use HTTPS -- TURN ON
  • Catch-all email routing rule
  • Create aliases on Gmail to send email as support@ etc
• SEO
  • Add domain to GSC Google Search Console
  • Add domain to Microsoft Bing
• Sitemap
  • Create in RailsFast with all relevant paths
  • Whitelist in CF
  • Submit to GSC
• Stripe
  • Stripe Customer Portal config: Allow users to upgrade & downgrade [Add all plans + Prorate charges and credits] https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/billing/portal
  • Stripe Checkout: allow payment methods
• Analytics
  • GA
  • Umami analytics

  • Configure /legal with TOS and Privacy Policy
